James is credited with creating the 'lads' magazine genre, now a worldwide phenomenon. He was voted Editor of the Year by the PPA and the British Society of Magazine Editors, and went on to establish his own publishing house: I Feel Good. He has now sold his interests in Jack, Viz and Bizarre.
